LET’S CREATE YOUR GUIDE TO  MANIFEST ATTENTION PURPOSE

I will work with you directly in developing your Manifest Attention Purpose (MAP).  For the past 30 years we have helped organizations, groups, business and individuals unearth and communicate their noble purpose. I am now employing the experience and wisdom in ways that will design a compass for guiding you through our attention dominated world with confidence, courage, compassion and the coordinates vital to true north of your priceless attention.

ATTENTION AUDIT

If needed, we can start our journey by paying attention to the purpose or lack of purpose that drives or doesn’t drive your thoughts, actions and how you devote and attend to your time, energy and resources. How have you applied your attention in the past and how is your attention doing this day?  What do you yearn for your attention going forward?  Are there themes, issues, stories and audiences you want to connect your attention to?  Are there people, problems, possibilities you want to connect with? This attention audit will result in an assessment that will serve as the foundation for creating your MA

Together, we will immerse ourselves in the composition of your Manifest Attention Purpose (MAP).  We will unearth and selection key words and ideas that reflect your attention’s voice, values and other key attributes that will not just sustain meaningful attention but help it thrive and flourish.  The MAP we design will provide answers to questions that will serve as your attention’s navigational coordinates.

Based on your unique endeavour and expectations, you may need to answer only a few questions or several. With all MAPs, there will be four key answers we will need to unearth and apply as the scaffolding for your MAP.  These questions are:

One - PURPOSE

Why do does our attention exist? Why do we employ our attention?

Two - PILLARS

What are the core values and principles we will serve as the foundation of our attention and its purpose?

Three - PEOPLE

Who do we need to connect with to achieve our purpose? How will our attention be of value to a person or groups of people?

Four - PLACE

Where and what will be the environments, settings, areas, communities and other places where our attention will live, thrive and call home, as well as those places that will be different, unexpected, challenging in ways that fortify and help our attention flourish.

Questions can be added such as what is the promise of your attention; what proof do you have or need to believe in for your attention the thrive; what opportunities and roadblocks will your attention face; what do you want to see happen or what will be the outcomes of your attention; does your attention have a personality or a certain character; are there certain tools or elements you will need to keep your attention strong and connective; are there things that could cause your attention to weaken, retreat and even disappear?

My experience in developing purpose-led MAPS also featured capturing the essence of an organization or cause or person with just one word – yes, one word!  With Manifest Attention Purpose that core word will always be ‘Attention’ – unless your MAP can justify a different core word.

If desired, we can also take a next step that develops your language and expressions that help create the environments and atmospheres that further bring your MAP to life. Through series of prompts, exercises and explorations we will carve out the thoughts, words and images that poetically express who your attention is and what you wish it to share and receive. Depending on the nature of your unique MAP, these expressions can take all kinds of forms – from formal structures to experimental forms to essays, graphics or three word manifestoes. These expressions reflect you and your attention, not an impersonation, comparative creation or algorithm created entity.

The Wordshop can be focused on an individual or solo entrepreneur, couples, classrooms, cohorts, a community, campus, nonprofit, business, a cause or movement or an entity that doesn’t fit into any category. It will be completely customized to your hopes, expectations and attention span.

Historical Note About the Evolution of the Wordshop

I originally developed a workshop called CorPoet in 1996.  It was created to o help businesses find their voice, purpose and language that transcends jargon. Many of the tools used in CorPoet can also be used with all kinds of organizations, non-profits and individually. CorPoet originally launched over 30 years ago.  A lot has changed since then and a lot has stayed the same. To see the original CorPoet brochure here.
